This was taken the day after the crash as a full-scale remains recovery operation got going. Most of the guys in this picture are mortuary science students or their instructors. The drill was to collect remains in the large plastic bags, then place them in the truck seen in the background. They were hauled from the crash scene to the Indiana National Guard Armory in Shelbyville where attempts were made to identify as many of the victims as possible.
