Jan Aulbert Fields

Mr. Fields was production manager for the Chatfield Paper Company of Cincinnati. He was traveling to Denver to speak at a sales meeting, and had been originally booked on Delta Airlines. That plane was delayed, so he transferred to the Allegheny flight instead.

Mr. Fields had attended Boone County HS, Georgetown College, the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, and the University of Kentucky.

He had been pastor of the Florence Baptist Church prior to 1961, and was a music teacher at Holmes HS from 1961 to 1965.

One of Mr. Fields brothers, James L. Fields of Florence, SC, was a manager with Piedmont Airlines.

Mr. Fields left behind his wife, Barbara, and three children from a previous marriage: Janet Marie (17), Lori (9), and Jan Scott (5). They lived with their mother, Phyllis, in Erlanger KY.
